About the Holland Wave

Holland Wave Homeschool Basketball program is part of the 

Michigan Home School Sports Association (MHSSA).

This is an association of other homeschool basketball programs located within the state of Michigan that all have adopted and abide by certain age and eligibility requirements.

Teams

For the 23-24 season we are fielding the following teams:

Boys 16U (Junior Varsity)

Boys 14U (Junior High/Middle School)

Boys 12U (Upper Elementary)

Boys 10U (Typically ages 8-10)

We hope to field girls teams and an 18U boys team in the future. Players in divisions not listed above are encouraged to register when the next registration period opens and we will do our best to form additional teams if we receive enough interest.

For the purpose of team placement, age is determined on September 1st. 

Depending on registration turnout, not all gender and age divisions may exist in a particular season.

Practices & Games

Practices will start around the 1st of November. Typically practice facilities are on the north side of Holland or in Zeeland. 

Regular season games will normally start around the 1st of December and go through the second week of February.

The 10U schedule may be more condensed depending on the number and timing of the games that get scheduled.

The season culminates in a state tournament, usually the second weekend of February.  Tournament games begin on Friday with semi-final games ending on Saturday.

The state championship finals for each gender and age division will then be played two weeks later, usually the first Saturday in March.
